The Aquacultured Neon Green Sinularia Finger Leather Coral is a beautiful species that is neon green to yellow in coloration. This variety is also relatively uncommon in the industry. They will grow in a tree-like manner developing many branches as it grows. They have the ability to inflate and deflate their body depending on the conditions in the aquarium. It is also common for these corals to remain deflated for days at a time. The corals may do this during times of rapid growth.
It is a semi-aggressive soft coral and needs space between itself and other corals. This aquacultured variety is easy to maintain in the reef aquarium, and makes an unusual coral for the established reef aquarium. It requires a moderate to high lighting level, and medium to strong water movement, along with the addition of iodine, strontium, and trace elements to the water. It is an easy coral to propagate. Simply trim one of the branches and attach the branch with the cut side down to a small piece of rock using either monofilament or other type of inert line.
It obtains the majority of its nutrition from symbiotic algae zooxanthellae, but will benefit from additional food such as micro-plankton, baby brine shrimp, or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.
