Our Water Parameters:

Salinity: 1.025 or 35 ppt

Alkalinity: 8-8.5 dKH or 140-150 ppm

Calcium: 400-450 ppm

Magnesium: 1350-1400 ppm

pH: 8.3-8.4

  1. Float all live corals for 15-20 minutes (To get the temperature of bag water the same as your aquarium water)
  2. After 15-20 minutes, remove the corals from the bag and place inside a container with enough space so that the corals are not touching.
  3. Drip acclimate for 10-15 minutes doing a fast drip (2-3 drips per second) or every few minutes scoop out your aquarium water into the container with the corals.
  4. After this, lightly shake off any detritus that may be on your corals and remove them from the water and place them into your tank

Important: We want to make the transition of your new live corals into your tank as smooth as possible. One important thing to remember is that if your corals are too stressed out (extremely shrunken in or water is heavily discolored) from their journey, acclimation may not be a good idea as it may just cause additional stress. It may be best to float them in your tank for 10-15 minutes and then remove them from the bag and place the live coral without any of our water into your tank.

*Make sure you have mixed saltwater on hand in order to top off your tank to replace the water removed while acclimating.
